I cannot speak for the SLS due to little knowledge of the actual car but from the driving characteristics of the vehicles, through force feedback, external car materials/car cockpit graphics, sound reproduction, and represented physics I think it sits at a 3/5 (decent) level right now, with a lot of upside. The mod was last updated in 2015 and, on first impressions, the cars force feedback feels a little poor. The Super GT500 2005-2013 Mod includes, as you would expect, the cars from the Japanese Super GT500 for the 2005-2013 seasons.
Remove GTR2 GameData\Teams\EEC GT3\\Test Car\ folders once you have real skins for the car otherwise GTR2 will still grid some cars without skins. You can try to find one or just discard it. If you don’t have a matching pattern like that, it means you don’t have a team/car that matches. 
Every \Teams\ car folder will have patterns like this that you’ll need to match up. Then I looked in the GTR2 Teams\Ford GT\ folder and saw files with the same pattern FORD_GT.
I looked inside \Ford Racing\ folder and saw files like 15027G_FORD_GT.car. How did I know the \Ford Racing\ folder was for the Ford GT car?. For example, from the EEC GT3 V3.0 Car Pack (link above), it has a \Ford Racing\ folder that I copied to GameData\Teams\EEC GT3\Ford GT\ folder. Find the team folder, usually named after a team or car, that should contain *.car, *.GTR, possibly *.DDS files, and maybe other file types, and copy the team folder to your GTR2 GameData\Teams\EEC GT3\\ folder. #Gtr2 road car mod zip#
Here is a backup link to a ZIP of all 50 skins for convenience or if the original goes down. Browse this thread on Trackaholics and download 50+ skins. Warning! You must install the the SRT_VIPERGT3R_WHEELS.gtr file from the EEC GT3 Viper SRT Continential Tires.rar or Viper Continental Tires.zip archives to avoid a crash when loading the Viper cars. For the life of me, I can’t remember or find where I originally came across this. EEC GT3 V3 does not have car skins / liveries by default. Then, go to the bottom of the same first post, you’ll notice a number of update downloads. Get the files listed (or use the links I provided above). Start at the first post in the EEC GT3 V3 Base Mod Release thread. Always copy&paste&edit EEC forum download links like this and you’ll stay safe. Remove the bad (red) part and keep the real download link. Instead, right-click the links, copy them, paste them into the URL bar in a new tab, and you will see the real link is embedded in a hijack link. These are super questionable, bad ads that hijack your browser, open popups and popunders, and quite possibly have malware and viruses lurking. The EEC forums try to display ads by hijacking any URLs in posts, including mod download links. Your game will crash with an ‘unexpected error’ dialog when loading too many cars. Note! You probably need the 4GB Patch, mentioned earlier, if you don’t have it installed already.
